Matt and I first met in Clearwater, FL during the summer of 2017. Back then, I was traveling for work and made plans to visit a friend who was interning that summer in Clearwater. When my original plans were thwarted, I ended up rescheduling my trip for the same weekend her roommate also had friends visiting. Little did I know that my future husband would be one of those friends!
 
Despite immediately hitting it off, we didn’t talk after that weekend for nearly a year! We were both still in college and long distance between two people who just met did not seem plausible. Then, randomly in the summer of 2018, Matt and I reconnected again. As fate would have it, that summer I was moving to Asheville for an internship and he was vacationing at his family’s lakehouse an hour north from there. I accepted the invitation to spend a weekend at the lakehouse, signing up to meet his whole family in addition to the guy I had only known for a grand total of 48 hours at that point.
 
Pretty quickly, we both realized there was something special there. After years of long-distance, trips back and forth to Orlando / Chicago / Charlotte, and countless cherished memories, Matt and I are blessed to have found each other. I’m forever grateful that God has brought us together and we are so excited to share this very special day with all of you!
